My BiL had a red one of these and I remember he was driving us around and the bonnet catch broke making the bonnet fly up ! Bloody thing....I think he used to tie it down with straps!
Can just remember seeing the odd one about in the 50's but that one used its own power and didn't rely on a trailer towing it lol
David Teevan any good for Ribble valley next year kidda ?
Was built in Preston lancs by sharples bros
Haha I had one of these in the 70s had a 250 Villiers engine in it kick start 😂😂😂

How close were you?
Where's the auction
I know a place where various cars of similar vintage have been left to rot away in a field. Most of them are just a pile of rust with bits of chrome and glass poking out now.
its a farmers auction so you will have farmers bidding against his neighbor to a silly price to then sit in a barn to finish off rotting
From the aucton brochure: 1953 Armstrong Siddeley for restoration, the vendor informs us that he has heard the engine of this barn find running, no log book
I saw this, bonnet was in good condition... £500? How much for the crawler though (with disassembled engine!)?
Don't know some artists might buy for £2000 then leave as it is stick it in national art museum then sell it £2 million
If that makes good money then does anyone want to buy this??....
Plate alone worth couple of grand would think.. so going for £3,499
Who in their right mind would fix that 😀
So does anyone actually know what it made then?
Scrap is currently running in at about £150/ton...
Half a curly wurly and a packet of love hearts
The number plate worth a few grand on its own
Won't sell properly reserve on it to high I say £76
Armstrong siddeley so not worth much £500 for parts maybe.
Susie Rush Roo Rush the car I was telling u about
Depends how many people interested could go cheap but also could go silly!! Nice project though 🤔
No not the noodle il finnish it.
One for the banger boys. 100 quid.
Rare car ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY 5,000

I have never understood how such a lovely car can be left for so long and neglected. Some newer cars look shocking in comparison. Ok it's not the most frugal car but then sit a Citroën Cactus next to it and I know which one I'd have. Happy to get 12mpg and be able to hold my head high 👍🙄
Allan Miller look at this like our old one
Fiat spastic cars are great!
Garage not barn
Tom Mittelstaedt, your dream car! Too bad the auction ended.
Paul McKenna 😀
Worth bidding for just for the security device 😂
What I see.
There's enough there for a cut n shut, if you can find 14 more like it.
I think they overdid the 'Rat Look' on this one.
that rear quarter damage ouch where u gonna get parts now put that right
Worth about 12p
