I had two spitfires. Great cars, they rust but deliver low cost fun motoring👍
They could have washed it first! 🤔😄😄

Lovely car. Had lots of in in one back in the day. Only trouble was if you put your ear to the petrol tank you could hear it rust😂

Had the montego turbo. Great engine poor bodywork and too light at the back. Saw a restored one at a car show last year looked amazing and an asking price of 15k
Wot a pile shit I used to work for a dealership back in the day servicing them
I had two new ones. The advert used to say , " The GTi will be along in a second," as the MG was quicker to 60
I took one out for a test drive when I was 18. One ‘tiny’ wheel spin and it stank of burned out clutch and the revs started jumping up and down. When I took it back to the garage they said if they fixed the problem would I be interested buying it 😂 that was the last and only time I ever drove a MG Maestro
I had one it was a great car would beat any GTI away from the lights
My dad had a black one in the late 80s. They were bloody fast cars
Other than Golf, Astra and Peugeot 😂😂
I took the earlier carbed one in part x for an escort I was selling. That bloody talking dashboard drove me nuts! 😂
Anything that rolled off the BL production line was utter shit
handled like a skip when like a rusty rocket
My uncle had a white one of these on a F plate it was nice in its day
Rot in peace
Red in couler 😅 Shitter!
bag of shitr ffs
Another one for the bonfire
John Lomas found your Darcy hot rod 😂🤣😂
Sophie Beeby Nikki Beeby How about this, just needs a bit of polish?
Rob Challenor soon sort that rot out with a pair of paisley PJ's 😉

Remember warning a guy who stored a mint low mileage imp then covered it with carpets 2 or 3 years later bonnet and most the roof came off with them when they were removed . Was a shame looked very similar to this one but hardly any paint or metal left on flat surfaces
IT'S A TETLEY CAR - MORE PERFORATIONS THAN A TEA BAG!
After some welding & paintjob be good as new
Boot looks very lightweight...
I see it's the light weight model.🥺
Seems to have been an engine fire 🧐🚨😇
A quick t-cut it will be good as new 😳
Is it the land that's for sale
The engine is in the boot
Ooo a ever so nice patina look 😹😹😹
nice to finally find one in good nick for a change!
Good bye god bless
Bonnet will buff out!
Just don't sneeze near it for god sake
Ooof that's crusty. 😖
The near side wing mirror looks ok
classic example of the tin worm
That will t cut out
Dave Smith I think they shared a factory with Alfa
Had it this Paul Edmundson??
Craig Griffin wee project?
Does any filler come with the car to fix the bonnet ffs 😉
I'll have some of the tcut some of u guys have

This was my best mates till a couple of years a go. It looked tiny next to my allroad. Lovely car though.
Superb car, except it’s not a coupe, rather a 2 door saloon.
Lovely old cars
That is a really nice car
Tony Overthrow, Ron Overthrow, memories 👍👍👍👍👍
Mick Bond 😍

from the long-forgotten days when cars were built in the UK by british companies - still the investors profits were better on foreign made cars even then......
What a great looking classic
Swoon. Genuinely, an account loosener there....
Quite a nice one, imsure it won't loose money.
More than perfect all V8s all ROVERS
Absolute class, now that is a car👍🏻
Thats a very nice car 👍
Have you bin polishing James Dean

Too many doors
Those wheels never looked that good on an RS Turbo... but they've found their way now with those quality Rally Decals
Adding a cage doesn't make it a rally car, but it does increase its weigh in value. Get it down the scrappy where it belongs!
Not a rally car, a car with some stickers 🙃
Looks like a council estate mash up on those rs rims 🤮
Audi on ford rs alloys
Thats not a rally car and the wheels look shite
Would make a decent car
23 bids on it 😂.
TSR the original VAG engine builders 😎💪
Love the Escort Rs Turbo rims
Ok who put 50p in some dickheads again
Escort RS Turbo alloys?!
Escort wheels FFS
Wojciech Sobotkiewicz another one for you
Paul Mrpk Kendrick perfect
Thom Alex Wojciechowski
Owned both should have kept the roadster great fun to drive good luck owner stay safe owner
Probably the best car BL/Rover group produced at the time... Not quite as good as the Ford Sierra or Vauxhall Cavalier but it was quicker than both of them 0-60
That's in really good condition. Just under 2k on the bids and a fair few on it.
Had a 2.0 efi years ago. My kids called it Montestop because it didn’t go very often. Came home on the back of an AA touch more often than not a think.
Had a 1.6L auto estate back in the day on an F plate. It might change gear but it might not. Was a cretinous rust bucket with all the charm of a dose of crabs!
Beautiful zircon blue over tempest grey I think a stunning buy a true classic
Drove a 2.0 saloon as a taxi back in late 80's and had a 2.0GTi estate as our first 7-seater mid 90's... did the job...🤗🤗
Had a Vanden Plas version of this car...enjoyed driving it..
Cleanest barn find ive ever seen. Still a very nice car
Fine, as long as you don't want to go around corners any faster than 10mph. Awful handing.
I really liked mine did many miles in 3 yrs no problems sold it as tyres were bloody expensive A49 FFF
Core plugs! That’s all I’m saying fecking core plugs- mine was red over grey . Comfy big motor . Poor build quality
it was a 2.0 gti, shit off a stick, put a lot cars from today to shame !!!
Awful things like driving a jelly along the road
My god... Sorry why don’t British make cars anymore 🤔
Back when manufacturers warranty was one year for a reason
Someone should do themselves a favour and push it back into the barn.
It was good enough for Mrs Bucket (Pronounced Bouquet).
Shit. Scrap it
Jump in and drive, straight to the scrap yard 😂😂
Put it back away letting it near fresh air will cause 5kg of rust to form
Ross Shaw underrated car back in the day!
Graham Redway. Never too late to change your mind...
Debbie Tilbee - you could buy another...
Gary Grant, rocket Ron's taxi
Stephen Goodyear was this what you had?
